Leading Bangladeshi and Indian performers join hands

To celebrate Tagore’s 150th birth anniversary, Navapratisruti, a prominent cultural organisation of Kolkata, recently held an evening of songs, recitation and dance. Featured performers included noted artistes of Bangladesh and India and the venue was the G.D. Birala Auditorium, Kolkata.
Artistes representing Bangladesh were Rezwana Chowdhury Bonya, Lily Islam, Sajed Akbar, Salma Akbar, Chanchal Khan, Himadri Shekhar and Rokaiya Hasina. Bhaswar Bandopadhyay recited poems, while Sharmila Bandopadhyay and her troupe Nrityanandan performed two dance compositions.
