Cultural organisations from Bangladesh and India have taken initiatives to jointly celebrate the 150th (in 2011) birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. As part of the initiatives, a daylong cultural programme will be held at the National Theatre Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) on June 11, 2010, says a press release. BSA along with the cultural organisations Shurolok (Bangladesh) and Nabopratisruti (Kolkata, India) are arranging the event.
The daylong programme will feature performance by prominent singers, reciters and dancers from Bangladesh and West Bengal (India).
The list of singers from Bangladesh to perform at the programme include Rezwana Chowdhury Bonna, Sadi Mohammad, Mita Haq, Papia Sarwar, Tapan Mahmud, Iffat Ara Dewan, Sajed Akbar, Salma Akbar, Lily Islam, Lisa Ahmed Lisa, Chanchal Khan, Rokaiya Hasina, Fahim Hossain Chowdhury, Himadri Shekhar and Mujibul Qaiyum.
